Periodontal Treatment
The main objective of periodontal treatment is to avoid and prevent the loss of your teeth. In fact, with proper treatment, care at home with regard to dental hygiene and regular visits to your periodontist, you have a great chance of keeping your teeth healthy for life.
Dental cleaning
Dental cleaning is part of oral hygiene and involves the removal of dental plaque from the teeth with the intention of preventing cavities, gingivitis, and periodontal disease. It is recommended every 6 months. This service is performed with ultra sound.
Oral Implantology
Dental implants are small artificial titanium devices that are inserted into the bone of the upper and lower jaw. They can look like a hollow cylinder or screw, and their size is very small, similar to that of a natural root. The implants are attached to the bone by a process called “osseointegration” and act as a support for the artificial replacement teeth, taking over the functions previously performed by the natural teeth.
Gummy Smile
Exaggerated gingival exposure is a situation characterised by too much gingival exposure when smiling. Better aesthetic characteristics are achieved by gingival contouring in order to expose more of the clinical crown. This results in a concomitant decrease in gingival exposure and considerable alteration of the crown to marginal tissue ratio in favour of the teeth.
Gingival recession
Gingival recession is the migration of the gingival margin from its normal position at the crown-root boundary to below this boundary. This involves the exposure of the root surface of the tooth, which makes the tooth look longer and can lead to hypersensitivity to hot or cold.
